Even if in perfection; the human mind doesn't anchor, but floats on in search of something more. And we do suffer for our ignorant curiosities. We slowly sink in a society that pushes power and control as though they were capabilites possible for a human to posses. Misanthropy is a dislike for what mankind has done to the human spirit. Not a hatred for the being that is mankind itself.
Andrew Stinsaas grew up in Boise, Idaho and moved to Portland, Oregon to persue a career in hospitality when he met Ricky and Bryan through an ad posted in a local rag. He's influenced by many performers ranging from Maynard Keenan, to Jack Johnson and The Mars Volta. Ricky Wilkins played his first guitar at 16 years old. One of the founding members of Miss Anne Thrope he strives to keep integrity in both the music and the image. "I don't just want to be a band that you forget about because they hopped on someones trend and rode coat tails their entire career." Bryan Bennett is the other founding member of the band. He's been playing drums for 16 years in 2006 and has played everything from jazz, to heavy metal, to folk accoustic. He and Ricky have been playing music together for upwards of 6 years and he plans to do whatever it takes to conquer the musical world. His influences range from Charlie Benante from Anthrax, to The Misfits. Scott Warner is the newest member of M.A.T. He's been with the band for about a year now and has really begun to cut his teeth. He's recorded an album and playing 50+ shows with the band. And plans on being around for many many more. He and Andrew both knew eachother in Boise and moved to Portland together in 2000.
