Meaning breadth of freedom of action and thought, naming the magazine Latitude was a natural extension of everything the magazine represents.
Located in the latitude of 36°N, the number 36 is symbolic and serves as an icon throughout the magazine. Latitude's photographs, articles and poems are contributed by regional photographers and writers who paint the portraits of Carolina Culture.
