Description:
Frontman Joe Molaskey founded Tattered Minds in 1999. Realizing that his band was incapable of playing the complex musical style that he was interested in, Joe proceeded to recruit the best musicians he could find. First up was drummer Donald Fehlman, followed by the phenomenal guitarist Steve Johnson, and with the addition of the talented Mr. Corely (Cameron Corely: Bass) in 2003 Joe's superband was complete. With their newfound endless supply of talent Tattered Minds was free to explore the limits of their abilities and musical style, which can be defined as none other than Jewish Contemporary. Jewish Contemporary is characterized as a fusion of grunge, metal, blues, rock, ska, and whatever else Tattered Minds sounds like. They seem to be the one band that really defines the genre. They have spent the last few years working on an ever more impressive repertoire of sound and energy. Always looking for new ways to improve the live show Tattered Minds has incorporated raging solos, instrument swapping, and novelty covers, such as Ice Ice Baby, into their act, in addition to quality original music, to make for memorable performances without resulting to nudity, which in my book is called "class". -Mike Jung
Band Members:
Our band consists of Joe, our backup guitar and vocals. Joe is the oldest one in our band (being he is 20), and he is the orignial member. Joe writes the lyrics and has written some of our older songs, he is probably the most creative person I've ever met. Steve is our lead guitar. He is probably the most talented guitarist of his age that I've ever seen, and is probably one of the best his age in the state, wait until you hear him and you will agree. Cameron is on bass and is also a kick ass musician. He is also the newest member to the group. He compliments the band with an awsome playing style. Finally, Donald is the backbone of the band, the drummer. What can you say about a drummer, he's a drummer who can add excitment with his gut busting fills and bad ass double bass rifs in every song that we play (just kidding, he's not that good).
