Double Clutch

Band Members:
Drew- The lead vocalist and guitarist for Double Clutch, Drew Lawton, is no amateur musician. Born in Big Bear CA and raised in New Jersey, Drew has spent over 10 years playing guitar and has been singing since the age of four. He decided in his junior year of high school that this is what he absolutely wanted to do for the rest of his life. Music is what makes him happy and he appreciates the freedom of self-expression within it. Drew can't wait to start making awesome music and playing awesome shows like his greatest musical influences, Unwritten Law, Stone Temple Pilots, and Goo Goo Dolls.

Gavin- The man behind the beat of Double Clutch is Gavin Runyon. Gavin was born and raised in San Diego CA where he has been playing drums for 3 years. Gavin realized a year and a half ago that his talent and love for playing the drums could get him very far in life and there is nothing he would rather do. Gavin likes the feeling he gets when he's sitting behind his drum set and playing live, it is like no other feeling and he wants to experience that everyday. Bands like the Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones, and Sevendust have influenced his music greatly and he would like for him and Double Clutch to be able to make music their career as many other bands have before them.

Efrem- The guitar styling of Efrem Rubio adds to the energy, and is a key element in the chemistry, of Double Clutch. Born in La Jolla CA and raised in various places throughout San Diego, Efrem has been playing guitar for 4 years now. He loves music, and it makes him happy to be doing what he loves. Since his sophomore year of high school Efrem knew that playing guitar and writing good music was what he wanted to do. Rufio has been one of Efrem's greatest musical influences and wants Double Clutch's music to appeal to a wide variety and range of people not just to one genre.

Michael Coe- At the base of Double Clutch is talented bass guitarist Michael Coe. Michael, bassist of 3 years, was born in Spokane Washington but raised in San Diego CA. Michael has been playing bass guitar since his freshman year of High School. He wants to continue playing bass and is looking forward to performing with Double Clutch because that's what he enjoys doing. All of the local bands have influenced his music greatly and inspired him to be in a band himself. Michael hopes that him and Double Clutch can make music and do shows that they enjoy and in the future be able to look back and know that they've achieved a lot.
