Description:
Formerly Strikt9 of Greeley, Headgone was formed in late 2003 and has been trying to slowly rise up the Colorado music scene ever since.
Band Members:
Headgone has come a long way from their humble beginnings of two brothers, Chris and Steve Campbell, playing covers on a four string bass and a 10 inch Peavy Amplifier and running vocals out of a simple Karaoke machine. After searching and finally getting a band together they became Strict9 in 2002. By word of mouth during this period they were able to pick up current drummer Phillip Baladez. Due to undedicated and unstable members, Steve, Chris and Phil continued to search for serious musicians. Steve and Chris had kept in touch with Brandon Hernandez since before they formed the band. He is now the current rhythm guitarist. Wanting to fill out their sound with a musician adept at a seven string they picked up long time friend of Brandon, current lead guitarist Geoff Harris. The music had plenty of drive and heavy vocals but lacked a clean vocalist type sound that had been present in Strict9. By coincidence Chris ran into a co-worker who had the same tastes in music and the vocal style they were looking for. In November of 2003 vocalist David Brisnehan became the sixth member and headgone was formed. Headgone has played numerous local venues in their hometown of Greeley and has been able to extend their music into Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and other cities. As a band they have been very fortunate to have friends knowledgable in web design, art, and promotion. With much generosity from good friends headgone was able to create their own website, which has been up and running for a good year and a half. Headgone realizes that self-promotion is a truly valuable thing, being a small town local band. With that being said, headgone is affiliated with the websites: www.garageband.com, independent A&R website www.taxi.com, networking website www.myspace.com, and the personalized website www.headgone.com. Headgone plans to continue to put out original music because they are inspired by who influenced them. Thanks to KoRN, Deftones, Taproot, 40 Below Summer, Nothingface, 311, and countless others. Headgone thanks their friends, fans, and family, because without them they would be nothing.
